Privacy Policy

The Sun City Church app is made by Sun City Church to help our church family stay connected — see what's happening, celebrate your next steps, and keep in touch with your group. This policy explains what information the app uses and how we care for it.
Information we use
- Your church profile. When you sign in with your email, the app connects you to the profile our church already keeps in our church management system (Planning Center): your name, email address, phone number, campus, group memberships, serving teams, and milestones like baptism or class completion. If you create an account in the app, the details you enter (name, email, phone, campus) are added to that same system.
- Things you do in the app. Messages you send in group chats, poll responses, and milestones you report (like marking that you've been baptized).
- Notifications. If you turn on push notifications, we store a device token so we can deliver them. Turning notifications off removes it.
- Sign-in codes. Signing in emails you a one-time code. Codes expire in ten minutes and are stored only in protected, temporary form.
What we use it for
Only to run the app and our ministry: showing you your own profile, badges, groups, and events; delivering group chat; sending church communications you can opt out of; and helping our pastoral staff care for our church family. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
What we never do
- We never sell your information, to anyone, for any reason.
- We show no ads and use no advertising or analytics trackers.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- Other members never see your contact information — chats show only your name.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that make the app work: Google Firebase (secure hosting, sign-in, and data storage), Planning Center (our church management system), and Twilio SendGrid (email delivery). Each processes your information solely on our behalf. Church staff access information only for ministry purposes. We would disclose information if the law required it.
Security and retention
Information travels encrypted (HTTPS) and lives in access-controlled systems only our authorized staff can reach. We keep your church profile for as long as you're part of our church family. Chat threads keep roughly their most recent 500 messages.
Your choices
You can update your information, ask what we have on file, or ask us to delete your profile at any time — email admin@suncitychurch.com or let us know on a Sunday. Deleting your app account removes your sign-in; deleting your church profile removes your information from our systems.
Children
The app is intended for adults and teens 13 and up. Profiles for younger children exist only in our church management system under their parents' care, not as app accounts.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we'll update this page and the date at the top, and for meaningful changes we'll tell you in the app.
